Sidlaghatta is a town in Chikkaballapur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is in the outskirts of the Chikballapur city and is within 15km of the Muddenahalli region. It is known as the Silk City of Karnataka along with Mysore, Doddaballapur, and Muddenahalli. Sidlaghatta has a population of 41,105 and an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the regional average. It is located in close proximity of the Bangalore International Airport and therefore land prices are steadily increasing.
